Actualmente se recomienda a estos pacientes al  igual que a los que padecen DM tipo 2 (en los que lo que existe es una  resistencia a la insulina) , comer alimentos que aporten carbohidratos  en cada una de las ingestas, algo que m\u00faltiples estudios y la realidad  que vivimos demuestra no ser la mejor estrategia.<br>Si a un paciente  cel\u00edaco o \u00abintolerante\u00bb al gluten se le recomienda eliminar \u00e9ste de su  alimentaci\u00f3n, \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 a los diabeticos se les anima a comer en  cantidades considerables aquellos alimentos (carbohidratos) para los que  no presentan los mecanismos necesarios para integrarlos?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"688\" height=\"688\" src=\"https:\/\/xn--doctoracaizares-6qb.com\/blog-instagram\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/low_carb.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-112\" srcset=\"https:\/\/xn--doctoracaizares-6qb.com\/blog-instagram\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/low_carb.jpg 688w, https:\/\/xn--doctoracaizares-6qb.com\/blog-instagram\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/low_carb-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/xn--doctoracaizares-6qb.com\/blog-instagram\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/low_carb-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 688px) 100vw, 688px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>La base\n del tratamiento de la diabetes, especialmente de la tipo 2 no consiste \nen adicionar insulina u otros f\u00e1rmacos para controlar la glucemia, si no\n en vivir de una forma que contribuya a precisar la menor cantidad de \ninsulina\/f\u00e1rmacos posibles. Una alimentaci\u00f3n low carb repleta de \nalimentos reales y ausente de procesados, actividad f\u00edsica, control del \nestr\u00e9s&#8230; Son la base del tratamiento, permitiendo en muchos caso \nreducir e incluso suspender el tratamiento farmacol\u00f3gico (\u00e9sto \u00faltimo \ns\u00f3lo en DM2).
